Last Friday I played tennis with my colleague.

Two other colleagues were playing just before us.

Male 1 is in his early 50s, male 2 early 40s. They played a singles game for about an hour. I know it's an hour because male 1 walked past my office to tell me he was going down to the court, and that was 5pm. Me and another colleague arrived just before 6pm, just as they were about to finish so we watched a bit. Looked like a good game but there wasn't much dashing around.

When they finished, male 1 was huffing and puffing and face red as a beetroot, sweating buckets. He managed to talk a bit, which was good. I was worried for a while cos he has hypertension. He muttered a bit about how out of breathe he was.

All this while, male 2 was sitting on the bench, head in his hands. He was very quiet. He lifted his water bottle to take a sip every now and then. It wasn't about five minutes later that he managed to say something. He said, "....it's not good... my heart was beating so fast.... I was so out of breathe.... it's not good". Now that he's talking, I can see his face. Not red but... kinda... greenish? Male 1 said, "yes.... very hard work... next time we should play for an hour... an hour and a half is too much...". At this point, me and my colleague looked at one another with raised eyebrows. Our matching thought bubbles read: "HE'S LYING! THEY ONLY PLAYED FOR ONE HOUR!" Male 2 said, "yes, next time we shouldn't play for so long.... your girls take it easy, too."

Men lie about their physical fitness and vigour.

Women lie about their appearance by wearing makeup and covering up their true identities.
