Sadness ... happiness ...

J, my three year old, has a re-curring question. He likes to ask it and be told the same answer every now and then.

The other night while I was trying to get him to sleep at 3 in the morning (he's still jet lagged), he turned round and asked me again,

"What is meant by 'misery'?

"Indelible sadness. Now close your eyes."

Only this time, he decided to change the answer.

"No, misery means indelible happiness." On that note, he beamed me a smile, closed his eyes and nodded off.
