The following bands are also on the top 50 list - I did not know they are Scottish - did you?

Eddi Reader (I seem to remember that this is an American country and western singer but obviously I'm wrong)
I wonder if some of these bands have been appropriated by voters as "Scottish" just cos they were based or formed in Scotland, or one of the members is Scottish/half-Scottish/lived in Scotland.....

Nope, they are all Scottish born and bred. Eddi Reader was in Fairground Attraction. Her brother had a band called the Trashcan Sinatras.
JAMC are from East Kilbride, like the Tuen Mun of Central Scotland. All the rest are Glasgow bands, although Eddi Reader grew up in Kirkcudbright.
The land of the Scots sprouts cool bands. That is a fact.
