Was really intrigued by a spam in my inbox with the subject line, “In no time, the gnomes have dug a hole deeper than their own height…” For a split second I felt the urge to open the message, wanting to find out more. Wanting to READ the whole goddam STORY. I regained my senses, thankfully. And yes, it was very early in the morning.

J got up at 6 a.m. complaining of a sore throat and general unwellness. I felt his forehead and he seems to be running a mild fever. Unfortunately he’s not the kind of child who stays in bed when he is unwell. He is the kind of child who wants to get out of bed and have breakfast and get dressed and brush his teeth so he could go and see the doctor. I told him the doctor is still in bed, but he wasn’t having any of it.

So here I am, it’s 9 a.m. and I’ve been up for what feels like ages.

Here is a picture of J’s head. It is large. That much is obvious:

A couple of days ago we were watching Nadel play Federer and Lisa was making fun of Nadel’s habit of scratching his butt during play. Then J said Nadel “looks as if he has got these water bags put inside his butt cheeks”. Hmmmmm.... "You are very observant," I replied.

I might have mentioned that I have been mozzed by filthy bloodsuckers during the night as I sleep. Recently another one struck again. On this occasion I kept my cool, and waited for the moment when the bastard was right next to my ear when I slapped my left cheek (face cheek, not butt cheek) hard, killing the bastard. The next morning I found its filthy corpse on my bed:

And here is a picture of some laundry hanging above me, as I lazed about by the window:

Last but not least, obligatory bread shots:
